He is well versed with all kinds of general and advanced laparoscopic procedures pertaining to the abdomen, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgeries. He also has expertise in robotic abdominal surgeries and perianal surgeries
He pioneered the hand assisted laparoscopic surgery for which he developed a technique. This cost effective technique has been named as “Medanta Handport Technique.” This was further presented at Annual Conference of American Society of Colorectal Surgeons meeting at Florida, USA in 2018
Dr. Singh has received awards for his outstanding accomplishments. These include Primetime Global Excellence Healthcare Award, 2017; AIOF mgen Health Professionals Award, ISBMR, 2005; Boy Frame Award of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research; Doctor of the Year award from Delhi Medical Association, 2005; Springer Citation Prize for his paper on “Global Vitamin D.” His name is also listed in the Limca Book of Records for his distinguished contribution in the field of medicine in 2005
He is a member of several organizations that include Association of Surgeons of India; Association of colon and rectal surgeons of India, Indian Association of Gastroendoscopic Surgeons, Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS); American College of Surgeons; International College of Robotic Surgeons; International College of Surgeons (Indian Section); Society of American Gastroendoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
