Dr. Kumar Suprashant

Dr. Kumar Suprashant is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Deformity Correction, Limb Reconstruction and Ilizarov Surgery. His practice is dedicated to the management of congenital, developmental and complex reconstructive musculoskeletal disorders in children, adolescents and adults, with a focus on preserving growth potential, restoring alignment, maximizing function and improving long-term quality of life.

With extensive clinical experience at St. Stephen’s Hospital, New Delhi, one of North India’s busiest orthopaedic centres, Dr. Kumar has managed a broad spectrum of complex musculoskeletal disorders while serving as a Consultant. He independently managed outpatient services, operative cases and inpatient care, while actively contributing to postgraduate teaching, academic activities and clinical research. His clinical expertise encompasses the management of clubfoot, cerebral palsy, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), congenital limb deformities, limb length discrepancies, post-traumatic deformities, orthopaedic infections and other complex reconstructive conditions.

He has particular expertise in Ilizarov and circular external fixation techniques, deformity correction, limb lengthening, bone transport and biological reconstruction, with an emphasis on preserving function, promoting bone healing and achieving optimal long-term outcomes. In addition to his subspecialty practice, Dr. Kumar has significant experience in trauma surgery, arthroscopy and arthroplasty, enabling him to provide comprehensive orthopaedic care across all age groups.
