Dr. Ninad Katdare has completed his surgical oncology training from the renowned Tata Memorial Hospital.
During a period of three years at Tata Memorial Hospital, he accomplished an astounding number of over 300+ surgeries independently.
He has assisted in operations for various cancers in different regions of the body. This experience includes Head and Neck Cancers, Breast Carcinomas, Cancers of the Thorax as well as the Gastrointestinal tract, Urogynaecological cancers as well as reconstructive surgeries in Oncology.

His Masters Degree in Advanced Oncology was completed in Europe from Universitaet Ulm, Germany. In this unique course, Dr Katdare was trained about the management of late stage cancer patient management by means of research methods and clinical management.
Furthermore, he subsequently finished his D.U. from the University de Strasbourg, France. He received a Masters degree in Surgical Endoscopy . He was exposed and trained in the use of endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery applied to the field of oncology.
His Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology for the treatment of various cancers affecting women was done from Le Centre Oscar Lambret, Lille, France. an “ESGO certified centre of excellence in Gynaecologic Oncology”.
Dr Katdare is among the few surgeons trained in these procedures in Fertility preservation surgery. This is a form of cancer treatment, as the name suggests, that allows the female patient to conserve the ability to have children in the future. He also uses an effective method of Ovarian Cancer treatment known as the “Anderson Algorithm”. This improves the survival rates significantly.
For the treatment of tumors that affect different parts of the digestive tract, he has completed a fellowship in Abdominopelvic Oncology from the European Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy. In addition, his training has covered treatment of Neuro-Endocrine tumors which also arise in the GI tract.
Other examples of tumors that the doctor has covered include the management of Advanced Colorectal cancers with Liver Metastases and Sphincter Preservation surgeries in Rectal cancer.
He has also done a Fellowship in Peritoneal Oncology from CHU Lyon, France. He is one of the few doctors in India to do not only HIPEC surgery but also other forms of peritoneal cancer treatments like EPIC: Early Postoperative Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy and NIPS: Neoadjuvant Intra peritoneal Surgery and Chemotherapy.
He is one of the first surgeons in India to be trained for PIPAC: Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosolized Chemotherapy. This form of therapy aims to eradicate metastatic tumors in the cavity surrounding the abdominal organs.
Considering that Dr Katdare is one of the first trained in PIPAC hence making him the pioneer of this form of treatment in India.
Dr Katdare has undergone extensive training in Europe enabling him to obtain a wide array of expertise in specific sub-specialties related to Oncology.
