His area of specialisation includes laparoscopic management and minimally invasive surgery for treating diseases such as hernia, haemorrhoids, etc.
After receiving his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1989, he completed his MS (Surgery) from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, in 1994.
In 1998, Dr. Valeja received a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
He is a life member of the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons, the Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India, and the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons.
