Has successfully transplanted two kidneys from a 78 year old cadaver donor considered to be the oldest cadaver donor in the country.
He has the distinction of initiating the Renal Transplant Programme in almost every center in the state of A.P and Telangana.
He has single handedly developed the specialty of Organ Transplantation in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for many years.
Sahariah has initiated the Renal Transplant programme in other cities too, like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, outside the city of Hyderabad.
He underwent training in Experimental Transplantation and Transplantation Immunology at ToKai University school of medicine, Japan.
He was honoured by the Government of India, in 2014, by bestowing on him the Padma Shri Award, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.
