Dr. Smita Vats is a highly educated and experienced Obstetrician & Gynecologist with 25+ years of experience in the field of reproductive health.
Her affiliations with medical societies include memberships of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India, the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi, the Delhi Gynaecological Endoscopists Society and the Society of Endoscopic And Laparoscopic Surgeons of India among two others.
She completed her MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer in 1999 and in 2006, earned her DNB qualification. She then pursued and completed her diploma in advanced endoscopic gynaec surgery from Giessen University, Germany in 2011. She then underwent training in advance laparoscopy and hysteroscopy at P.G Paul’s Institute, Kochi in 2011.
Dr. Vats was also a fellow of ICMCH (2014) and also did a PG diploma in USG (Whole Abdomen & Obstetrics/Gynaecology). In 2019, she completed her fellowship at the The Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India.
She is an expert OBGYN, who is specialised to treat bleeding disorders in women, menopause problems, high-risk pregnancies, all type of high-risk and complicated gyneac surgeries including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures. Her practice also includes, performing vaginal and C-sec deliveries, consultations for contraception, IUI, infertility evaluation and adolescent girl problems among a few others.
In 2015, she presented a co-authored paper on, Reverse Uterine Closure Technique For Patients With Previous Lscs Having Thin Lower Uterine Segment at the International Federation Of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
