Ovarian Cystectomy in India

Ovarian cystectomy is a surgical procedure to remove a cyst or cysts from one or both the ovaries.

A laparoscopic surgery (minimally invasive surgery)uses small incisions and specialised tools which results in faster recovery time than Open surgery, in open surgery uses a larger abdominal incision. In laparoscopic surgery small incisions will be made just below the navel, a laparoscope will be inserted. (It’s a thin tube with a camera) which allows the surgeon to better view the organs, and carbon dioxide gas will be pumped into the abdomen. The laparoscope is used to locate the cyst. The surgeon inserte surgical instruments which removed the cyst. There will be pain after the surgery, the patient will be given pain medication. Recovery takes a few weeks.
