Mr. Hifzour Rahman, a 29-year-old male from Bangladesh, was experiencing poor vision in both eyes. He was diagnosed with complex retinal detachment with Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy (PVR) affecting both eyes. His medical history also included thalassemia. Due to the complexity of his retinal condition, he travelled to India to seek specialised vitreoretinal treatment.

His case was coordinated by Mahima, Case Manager at Yashfiin Health member, who supported him throughout his medical journey and coordinated with the hospital and medical team. After evaluation at The Sight Avenue, New Delhi, the patient was treated under the expert care of Dr. Nikhil Pal and the dedicated ophthalmology team.

He underwent vitreoretinal surgery for retinal detachment, including 25G minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgery with membrane peeling, endolaser and silicone oil intervention, as documented in his medical records. Surgical treatment was performed for both the right and left eyes during separate admissions.

Following the procedures, the patient received comprehensive post-operative medication, eye care instructions and follow-up guidance from the medical team.Yashfiin Health, together with The Sight Avenue and its medical team, supported the patient throughout his international healthcare journey—from treatment coordination to post-operative care—helping ensure a smooth and well-coordinated experience in India.
