About Dr. S.S. Iyengar

Dr. SS Iyengar is an eminent Interventional Cardiologist with an experience of more than 52 years.
He specializes in prevention and treatment of cardiac and vascular disorders such as acute heart attack, heart failure, arrhythmia, rhythm disturbance, valvuloplasty and many more.
He also performs procedures such as coronary angiogram, coronary angioplasty, bypass surgery, heart valve replacement, vascular surgery, heart transplant, etc.
He was honoured by Vishishta Seva Medal by The President of India, PM Naik Memorial Oration Award, Pharmacia Oration Award, and Silver Medal by Director General Armed Forces Services.
Dr. Iyengar completed his MBBS in 1969, MD in General Medicine in 1972 from University of Pune.
Thereafter, he went on to do DM in Cardiology from University of Pune in 1975.
Presently, he is a member of Cardiological Society of India, Fellow of Indian College of Cardiology, Indian College of Interventional Cardiology, and Indian Society of Echocardiography.
