• Dr. Sumit Monga has completed his clinical fellowship and clinical associate-ship inPediatric ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology from the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad, India (2010-12). The latter is a WHO collaborating center for prevention of blindness. His areas of keen interest are pediatric cataract, strabismus syndromes, visually inattentive children, amblyopia, pediatric genetic eye diseases and neuro-ophthalmological disorders. He completed his basic and higher specialty training (Residency and Registrar ship respectively) from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Maulana Azad Medical College, which is a reputed 200- bedded public eye care institution in New Delhi, India (2000-06). His rigorous residency training enabled him to imbibe the basic tenets of ophthalmology in general and pediatric ophthalmology in particular. He is a triple postgraduate in ophthalmology, having successfully completed his MS Ophthalmology (Delhi University, 2003) , DNB (National board of Examination, 2005) and FRCS (Glasgow, United Kingdom, 2005) examinations. Earlier, he worked as a consultant, pediatric ophthalmology at Shroff Eye Centre, New Delhi (2007-10) and Vasan eye care hospitals, Delhi (2012-2015).He is currently working (since march 2015) as a Senior consultant, Pediatric, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology Service in Centre for Sight, Delhi NCR/Meerut.
